William "Bill" Walton Wofford
Obituary
William "Bill" Walton Wofford, 62, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2023, at a local hospital with friends by his side.
Born July 8, 1961, in Fort Worth to William T. and Julia Moore Wofford, he was the youngest of five children.
Bill was a graduate of LD Bell High School, and as a teenager went to work on the railroad at Six Flags Over Texas. This high school job eventually led to a long management career at Six Flags and other amusement and family entertainment facilities. In recent years he also enjoyed working each fall at the State Fair of Texas.
Bill is survived by three sisters and scores of friends who will miss his kind mentorship, eloquent wit, and deep knowledge of a vast array of subjects.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date.
