Vicki Leigh Postier Vinson, 65, passed away in the early morning of November 19, 2021, in Fort Worth.

Vicki was born in Enid, Oklahoma, on January 19, 1956, to Janelle Gay Jones and Billy Dean Postier. She was an energetic young woman who loved her family and never missed a reunion. After her father’s tragic passing at a young age, she, her mother, and younger brother, Bill, moved to Big Spring. Her mother remarried to Vicki’s new dad, Walker Hart. With the addition of her brother, Bobby, the family settled in Fort Worth, and her sister, Linda, soon rounded out the family. Vicki attended Eastern Hills High School, joining the swim team until she graduated in 1974. Vicki then attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in physical education in 1980. There she enjoyed photography, archery, canoeing, and camping. She returned to Fort Worth and became an active member in her childhood church, St. James Presbyterian, later known as Oak Hill Presbyterian. There she found love and married Lee Vinson in 1987. They had two children, Timothy and Allison. Vicki’s employment led her to her purpose in life as an advocate and teacher for people with disabilities, beginning at the Fort Worth State School, then MHMR of Tarrant County, before becoming a behavioral therapist at ABA Academy in Pantego. At ABA Academy she became the Assistant Executive Director, helping children with autism and their families. She loved to talk and socialize with anyone and everyone, always trying to brighten people’s days.

Survivors: Husband, Lee Vinson; son, Timothy Vinson and wife, Ashleigh; daughter, Allison Vinson; brother, Bill Postier and wife, Debbie of Willow Park; brother, Robert Hart and wife, Leslie of Midland; and sister, Linda Hart; brother-in-law, Phil Vinson and wife, Rita; 3 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
