Vernon was an auto mechanic for 25+ years, specializing in BMWs. He then made a career change to a Gas Compression Technician/Supervisor for the remainder of his life. Vernon enjoyed anything outside; camping, hunting, fishing, building race cars, and he loved cooking, especially on his grill smoker. He loved the beach and would take every chance he had to stay at the condo on North Padre Island. He loved to share time at this little piece of paradise with family members and friends. He loved to fish, swim, and walk on the beach. 3 years ago, Vernon fulfilled his dream of becoming a certified scuba diver. He was able to dive in some of the most beautiful waters. He is  known for having a big heart. He never met a stranger and would do whatever he could to help others without a second thought.
