Susan Virginia Pursell

After a long battle with COPD, Susan Virginia Pursell of Willow Park, Texas passed away early Tuesday morning, 01/24/2023, surrounded by her loved ones and under the care of Community Hospice of Texas.  Susan was 72 years old.  

Susan was born on April 15, 1950 to her parents, Homer Aaron & Dolores Farrington in Syracuse, NY and was the 3rd of 10 children. Susan spent her childhood in the states of New York & Illinois and as the oldest daughter was often seen as the caregiver to her younger and older siblings.  A role she carried out throughout her life as she loved being the host for family occasions and her favorite holiday, Thanksgiving.  

During the majority of her adult life, Susan lived in Tennessee, Florida, and Texas where she worked as a Flight Attendant for American Airlines.  Susan loved her time flying across North America and always had good stories to tell when she was back at home visiting with her family and friends.  When at home, she enjoyed doing yard work, cooking, traveling and hanging out with all of her neighbors.  Susan retired from American Airlines in 2015 and spent her last years in the Fort Worth area, relaxing and spending quality time with her family. 

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, her older brother, Richard Farrington, and her younger, twin brothers, Michael and Mark Farrington. 

She is survived by her brother, Charles Farrington and wife, Jan, of Roan Mountain, TN; younger brother, Thomas Farrington and wife, Cassandra of Roan Mountain, TN; younger brother, Scott Farrington and wife, Amelia of Baton Rouge, LA; younger sister, Bonnie Farrington of Fort Worth, TX; younger brother, William Killebrew of Phoenix, AZ; younger sister, Diane Heppner of Hernando, MS; daughter, Tricia Gaspar and husband, Ralph of Joliet, IL; son, Rick Hudolin and wife, Carly of Maryville, TN; daughter, Tresa Mitchell and husband, Kevin of Aledo, TX; son, Shawn Pursell and wife, Esmeralda of Tucson, AZ; and 10 grandchildren.  

There will be a celebration of life at: Fort Worth Funerals and Cremations, Friday, February 10, 2023 at 4:00 PM.
