Aledo, TX – Stephen K. Ma, 72, passed away from heart failure on February 3, 2023 in Fort Worth, TX. He was born on February 25, 1950 in China.
His final interment will be in CA. Date/Time TBD.
Born in 1950 in China, he moved to the US, with his parents, Wing and Candy, his two sisters, Kathy and Peggy, and his two brothers, Bill and Dennis. They grew up in Stockton, CA. He was an avid, amateur photographer and a collector of stamps from all over the world. He loved to tinker with appliances and later he became an industrial engineer for FMC, Gulfstream Aerospace, and Bell Helicopter. While studying engineering at San Jose State University, he loved eating fried chicken from the dining hall, where he met his wife Christina. The two married in 1978. In 1979, Christina gave birth to their only child, Sharon, and Stephen transitioned to fatherhood, in addition to husband and engineer. They moved from San Jose, CA to Pleasanton, CA, and then following his work, they moved to Stephenville, TX before creating his final home in Aledo, TX in 1995, where he enjoyed gardening, going to the libraries, and exploring DFW happenings. His favorite things to say were, “What’s happening,” “keep it simple,” “let it be,” and “to be or not,” but his favorite things besides family were dogs. He would love for donations to be made to your local or favorite animal shelter.
Stephen is survived by his wife, Christina; his daughter, Sharon; and their dogs, Honey, Dogma, Bella, and Gio.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local or favorite animal shelter.
