Roy Gene Bishop, 73, passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer on January 26, 2022 in Fort Worth, TX.
He was born on November 24, 1948 in Amarillo, TX to Arvin and Emmajean Bishop. He was a truck driver most of his life from driving tankers in the oil fields in New Mexico to driving over the road. He loved the Lord and his family with all his heart.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Bishop, who he married in 1992; his sons, Temple Bishop, Muskogee, OK, John Bishop, Muskogee, OK, and Joseph Smith, Checotah. OK; daughters, Teresa Dickinson, Ottumwa, IA, Marisa Moore, Houston, TX, Jackie Copeland, Checotah, OK, Joy Hall, Muskogee, OK, and Angela Bishop, Ottumwa, IA; brothers, Carl Bishop and Lewis Bishop and 23 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Checotah, OK.
