Robert John Cook

Robert John Cook, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend to many, passed away on August 29th, 2021, in Kennedale, Texas. Born on August 4th, 1967 in Spencer, Iowa, Robert was a man of unwavering strength and extravagant generosity. A devoted family man at heart, Robert's love for his family was without measure or condition. He stood as their rock, always calm and steady through trials, always an encourager and always able to comfort others with his affectuous smile. He was a master storyteller and he used stories creatively to inspire, or as a personal challenge to incite laughter into the most arduous situations. Life with him at the helm was an adventure. Never yielding his dedication to serve others, Robert led by example, with integrity, excellence and wisdom. His hope was that he made a positive difference in the lives of those he was honored to mentor, and we know without doubt that he did that to a distinguished degree. 

Robert was preceded in death by his grandfather, Vincent John Cook Sr; his grandmother, Julaine Marie Cook; his grandfather, Dr. Leon Heike; his grandmother, Marian Heike; and his aunt, Ellen Beth Mathis.

Robert is survived by his wife, Julie; his son, Jonathan; his daughter, Talyn; his stepson, Ryan; his mother, Diana; his father, John; his stepmother, Evonne; his sister, Julie; his stepsister, Michelle (Mike), his step brother, Greg (Rhonda); and his stepbrother, Jess (Angie).

Robert leaves behind countless others who will cherish memories made with such an extraordinary man, and his legacy will live on through their hearts forevermore.

A celebration of Robert's life is scheduled for Saturday, September 4th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. LOCATION:  LAKE CHURCH, 2912 Little Road, Arlington, TX 76016.

Robert's final resting place will be Holly Hills Memorial Park, in Granbury, Texas.
