Randell “Randy” Warren Harper, age 56, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on April 26, 2024.
Randy was born October 1, 1967 to Charlotte and Jerry Harper of Everman, Texas. Randy, the second youngest of four brothers, grew up playing baseball. He could often be found on the pitcher’s mound throwing strike after strike, though there was the occasional walk here and there. Not only could Randy pitch, but he could also do what most pitchers couldn’t - he could hit.
As he transitioned into adulthood, Randy could often be found outside smoking brisket and ribs on his beloved smoker. His passion for cooking is something that is often reflected upon by his three sons. In addition to cooking, Randy loved to fish at the coast with his friends and brothers. He would often reminisce on his time at the coast and would tell stories of the memories he made there and the massive fish he caught. Above all, Randy’s biggest passion was hunting. He would often take his sons hunting and teach them valuable lessons such as hunting and gun safety.
Preceding Randy in death is his longtime partner, Debra Taylor; beloved stepson, Cody Taylor; mother, Charlotte Barker; stepmother, Connie Harper; and grandparents, Wilton and Ruby Cash, and Edward and Helen Harper.
Randy is survived by sons, Benjamin Harper, Mason Harper and partner, Victoria, Eric Harper and wife, Danielle; granddaughter, Dallas Harper; brothers, Rick Harper and wife, Janie, Bobby Harper and wife, Becky, Ed Harper and wife, Sherry, Josh Crotty and husband, Curtis, Daniel Harper and wife, Lindy, Dennis Harper, Andrew Harper and wife, Brandi; father, Jerry Harper; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
