Nikole "Nikki" Sue (Langager) King, age 35, of Weatherford, Texas passed away peacefully at home surrounded by friends and family on Saturday, February 22, 2020 after a battle with cancer. She was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Charles and Karen (Farthing) McDermott, and later was adopted by Steven Douglas Langager.
Nikole spent all of her childhood summers at her grandma Sue's house in Salem, Illinois where she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. It was during one of her last summer stays with grandma Sue, that she accepted Christ and was baptized by her uncle Gary. Nikole graduated from Weatherford High School and later went on to graduate from the Texas Academy of Dental Assisting as a Registered Dental Assistant. Nikole enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Growing up, her favorite food was cheese.
Nikole is survived by her two daughters, Kalla and Emma King of Weatherford, Texas; Kevin King of Weatherford, Texas; grandma, Gretta Sue Curry (Farthing) of Salem, Illinois; aunt, Anastasia (Matt) Roddy and their children, Kaitlyn and Kaden of Salem, Illinois; uncle, Gary (Mary Ellen) Farthing of Carlinville, Illinois and their children, Robert (Lisa) Farthing of Auburn, Illinois, Greg (Tracy) Farthing of Highland, Illinois, Sarah (Robert) Ehlers of Marion, Iowa; step sisters, Lindsay (Dockter) Hullob (Pete) of Aurora, Colorado and Kelley (Dockter) Dubose (Zach) of Garland, Texas; and special friend and family member, Amy Collier of Weatherford, Texas and her children; special friend, Matt McGinty; and several family members and friends who will miss her.
Nikole was preceded in death by her mother, Karen Dockter (Farthing); fathers, Steve Langager and Charles McDermott; grandpas, Kenneth Farthing and James LeRoy Curry; and Danny and Pamela King.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life in honor of Nikole on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 6:00pm at Fort Worth Funerals & Cremations. Memorial donations can be made to Kalla and Emma King in care of Amy Collier.
