Nicole Denise Norris was born August 3, 1980 to the union of Calvin and Denise Norris. Both of her parents preceded her in death. “Nikki”, as she was affectionately known, was a sweet child who loved her parents very much. She was heartbroken losing them at such a young age.
Nikki was raised in Belleville, Michigan and was educated in the Airport School District. Nikki loved playing sports and was always a creative soul. In high school, Nikki played basketball, soccer, and was a member of the marching band where she played the trombone. In 1999, Nikki graduated from Airport Senior High School in Carleton, MI.
Nikki’s creativity knew no end. She was an inspirational writer who loved writing poetry and rap songs. She often shared her poetry and favorite rappers with her family and friends.
Nikki was a very personable, free spirit who loved everyone unconditionally. She had a big heart. Nikki was a giving soul who helped anyone in need. If she had it, she gave it. Nikki was loved and admired by many and will truly be missed by all.
On October 4, 2023 at 4:10 p.m. Nikki took her final breath and gained her wings of love. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories; her sisters Cassandra (Ronald) Thomas and Felicia Norris-Walker, her nephews and nieces: Calvin Norris, Cortez Norris, Isaiah, Arianna, Breanna, Myon, and Kamani Jr. Her special aunts, Suzette Williams, Patricia Napier, Deborah Smiley, Brenda Myles, Antoinette Owens, and a host of close and loving uncles, cousins, family members and friends.
On the wings of love you rose, and living free is what you chose. Your spirit soared to higher heights, you always owned your wrongs and rights. You spoke your mind and was oh so kind. Never losing sight of self, no one could put Nikki on a shelf. You worked to live a better life and you loved with all your heart and might. Now you’re flying the heavenly heights, our beautiful Nikki has taken her final flight. Rest well Angel…We will always love you.
