Martin Mitchell Obituary

Martin Mitchell passed away peacefully on July 31, 2022 in Dallas, Texas. He was born December 13, 1949 in Bastrop, Louisiana.

Please join us in celebrating the life of Marty on September 17, 2022 at 3 p.m. At the HANGOUT on the Ouachita River in Bastrop, Louisiana.

Martin was born in 1949 and growing up in Bastrop, Louisiana, became an accomplished carpenter and cabinet maker by trade. He married his high school sweetheart, Connie Sears and and they had their first child, Martie Cheri. As he continued on his crazy journey of life, he had his second and third children, Martie Sue and Martin Mitchell the second. He traveled all over the United States from Alaska to the tips of Florida, having adventures and seeing sites along the way.

Marty then married his last wife Stanquida “Chris” Mitchell and had his last child, Randi Reshee’ in 1986. He became a widower in 1987 and raised his daughter with the help of the ones that loved him. He taught her everything he knew was right and good in this world:  to be strong, stand up for yourself, to be loyal, to love unconditionally, and know he’s always with her. Marty made many mistakes in his life, but never stopped loving his kids and grandkids. He loved driving fast cars, the world famous Dallas Cowboys, and making anything out of wood. A true craftsman.
