Lulu Hidrogo Obituary

Our precious daughter, Lulu Hidrogo, passed away on July 24, 2024, after a yearlong battle with cancer.

Lulu was born to Joe and Molly Hidrogo on November 27, 1978, in Fort Worth. Lulu achieved her lifelong dream and became a nurse in 2002. She had endless strength, compassion and empathy for her patients. Three times Lulu was voted by her peers as "Nurse of the Year”. It is truly a tremendous honor for any nurse to be nominated for the Daisy award, and Lulu was nominated and selected to receive this prestigious award in 2021. Lulu will be deeply missed by her loving parents, Joe and Molly Hidrogo; her son, Levi; and her daughter and son-in law, Sierra and Andrew Varela; her grandchildren, Kaia and Cairo; her brother, Bruce Lee; and as well as her soul sister, Tina Meeker.

She leaves behind a heartbroken yet grateful, family of eight aunts, Alma, Cindy, Debra, Jane, Janie, Mary, Maxine and Peggy; her four uncles, Chuck, Clint, Rick and Royce; special nieces, Kamilah and Aaralyn; and host of extended family and friends who were blessed to know her.

Lulu was preceded by her paternal grandmother, Linda Hidrogo; and her maternal grandparents, Simon and Molly Moya; and her uncle, Randy Moya; and aunt, Sylvia Moya.

Rest in peace, our beloved and precious Lulu. Your spirit lives on in the countless lives you’ve touched.

You are forever in our hearts.
