Kenneth Howery Obituary

Kenneth Allen Howery, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 4, 2024 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Kenneth was born August 17,1964 in Brawley, CA to RuthAnn Capehart.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Eventos Licon at 8629 Camp Bowie W Blvd in Fort Worth Texas, 76116.

Kenneth was born in California, but made a mad dash to Texas at the age of 6 months. He attended school in Savoy, Texas and worked as a teenager at the nursing home in the kitchen.  That is where he met his wife, Rhonda. He always told people he knew he was going to marry her the first day he saw her, and he did. He worked trimming trees, where he made great friends that he cherished.  He drove an 18-wheeler for years and saw so much of the country, of which he made great memories. For the last 14 years, Kenneth and Rhonda created their own business so they could spend more time together. Kenneth loved the outdoors and enjoyed many things, such as camping, hunting, fishing, last but definitely not least, Disc Golf. He loved this game to the fullest. He played every single day and went to as many tournaments as they had. He traveled to different states to play and loved the friendships he made. Anyone who knew Kenneth knew he went full force doing the things he loved. If you don’t believe me, I can show you my storage room. In 2020, Kenneth was diagnosed with throat cancer, but he beat it and was cancer-free. But being cancer-free did not free him from the side effects of the treatment. Kenneth was very grateful for the additional years to his life, but he was not ever the same, which was very hard on him.  He loved his family and friends and missed that he no longer was able to get out as much as he once did. He could spin a story and some were outlandish, but all were true no matter how crazy they may have sounded. Kenneth was a light that will go on for a long time for those who loved and cared for him.

Kenneth was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, son, uncle and friend.  He will truly be missed by all.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rhonda Howery; son, Gary James Howery; daughter, Samantha Morrow; mother, RuthAnn Capehart; sisters, Felecia Hubbard, Sheri Capehart, Tena Ball and Michelle Everhart; grandkids, Jayden Butler, Mason Sky Howery, Journey Morrow, Zoe Morrow, Jaxon Morrow; nieces and nephews, Tommy Manley, Ariel Hardy, Ryan Glaser, Khristian Loe, Colby Helvey, Baylee Price, Easton Hubbard, Lucy Tucker and Cassi Bergland; in-laws, Jo Mulder, Vickie Wood, Stephanie Hobbs and Mark Hubbard; many aunts, uncles, cousins, great nephews and nieces and many friends and extended family.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his father, James (Cookie) Capehart.
