Kelly Sullivan Obituary

Kelly Shannon Sullivan, age 56, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 5, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. We are deeply saddened but know she fought a courageous 11-month battle with Leukemia.

Kelly was born in Fort Worth, Texas on December 19th, 1967. Her family moved to Weinert, Texas in 1975 where she would later graduate Valedictorian of Weinert High School. She attended Snyder Junior College on a Theater scholarship and after two years transferred to UNT Denton where she would receive her bachelor’s degree in education. She worked 27 years for UICI Health Markets, as a Fraudulent claims investigator before retiring. Kelly met her soulmate and husband, Troy Sullivan on December 25, 1989 and married May 18, 1991. She loved people, most of all her family and especially her nieces and nephews which she spoiled rotten. She loved hosting parties, cooking, baking and making people laugh and have a great time. She loved crafting and scrapbooking. She enjoyed playing basketball, volleyball, and softball, which she did until 2015. Kelly was a loving wife, a loving daughter, an overprotective sister, the best aunt ever, and loyal friend. She was a light to everyone she came in contact with.

Kelly is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ernest and Louise McGuire, John and Lady Mae Wilson; her sister, Karen McGuire.

Kelly is survived by her husband, Troy Sullivan of Saginaw, Texas; her mother and father, Lowell and Nancy McGuire of Boyd, Texas; her sister, JoBeth Coplen and husband, Jay Coplen of Boyd, Texas; her brother, Danny McGuire and wife, Terrie McGuire of Port O’Connor Texas; her nephews Cole McGuire and Luke Coplen of Boyd, TX; niece, MayCee Amarillo and husband, Bernardo Amarillo of Denton, Texas; her niece, Blair Mcclellan of Fort Worth, Texas; great nephew, Levi Mccelllan of Fort Worth, Texas; and numerous extended family members.

We will miss her deeply and look forward to the day we will be reunited with her in heaven.

To celebrate Kelly if you would like to wear her favorite color pink I know she would have loved that.
