Johnny Marvin O'Bryant, 78 years of age, of Fort Worth, Texas entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. He was born in Gadsden, Alabama on February 28, 1948.
Johnny graduated from Walnut Park High School and had a successful career in the airline industry for Envoy Air partner of American Airlines. After retiring, he took some time off and then returned to work by driving shuttles to/from Dallas/Fort Worth airport.
Johnny made friends easily, always had something to say and never met a stranger. He laughed easily and loved teasing friends and family. Johnny knew when to be serious and be taken seriously. He was quick to extend a hand to those in need, never expecting anything in return.
Johnny is preceded in death by his wife, Rita; his parents, Silas and Willie Mae Obryant; his brothers, Bobby and Silas Lamar and sisters, Joyce Shaw and Charlsie Evans.
Johnny leaves to cherish his memories: his son, Jonathan and wife, Mariah; daughter, Anita Coffey and husband, J.R.; grandchildren, Premetheus, Patience, and Melody of Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Louise Sons of Burleson, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Celebration of life for Johnny will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Fort Worth Funerals & Cremations at 10 a.m. at 8808 Camp Bowie West, Fort Worth, Texas. Officiated by Reverend James Meredith of Legacy Church, Fort Worth, Texas.
