Johnathan Stuart Rovelo was blessed with God's grace into Heaven on June 21, 2023. He passed peacefully at his home in Fort Worth, Texas.
Johnathan was born in Grand Prairie, Texas on July 28, 1986, the oldest of four children. He moved to Waco, Texas as a toddler with his parents. This is where he would call home until his relocation to the DFW metroplex to pursue a college education and work as a young adult after graduating from Midway High School in Hewitt, Texas in May of 2005. He enjoyed his past service employment in working with different coworkers and customers. Johnathan's favorite hobbies were penning poems, writing short stories, and drawing as an amateur artist. His favorite past times were playing video games with his siblings, solving challenging mind puzzles, and most of all spending quality time with his family at various gatherings like Christmas, which was his favorite holiday. He enjoyed going for walks to explore nature and see the world around him. Prior to his passing, Johnathan was cared for with compassion in a Christ like manner with appreciation by James and Angela Swan.
Johnathan is survived by his parents, Janet and Andrew Cortinas; sister, Mallory Cortinas; brothers, Ryan and Joshua Cortinas, all of Waco, Texas; and his loving aunt, Hilda Clendennan of Plano, Texas.
He will be missed and remembered by his extended family in Lubbock, Texas as well as the numerous relatives and friends from across the United States.
