Larry was born August 16, 1942, son of John and Lois Boswell. He was born and raised on the Northside of Fort Worth and graduated from Northside H.S. in 1960. Larry was united in marriage to Mary Schlange on October 6, 1977.

Larry loved hunting, being on Eagle Mountain Lake on his boat, riding Harley's, cruising the backroads in Nebraska, and playing jokes on people. Larry loved Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan music.

Larry was a commissioned law enforcement officer and worked on what was known as the ODALE Task Force which predates the DEA. Larry and Mary owned and operated a successful private investigations company for 40 years. During his years with his private practice, he worked on the Cullen Davis defense team, which helped put the business on the map. Larry was known to the law enforcement community and helped with several cases with various government agencies.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Jeanie Lambert and Jennifer Boswell; two brothers-in-law, Wayne Schlange and Jack Betts; and sister-in-law, Elaine Schlange.
