Joella Jean Dickson

Joella Jean Wilson Dickson, 67, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Wednesday, May 22, 2024.

Joella was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Jimmy Joe Wilson and Elizabeth Jean Wilson. She married the love of her life in 1974, Henry Alton Dickson, of Louisiana, as he was serving in Carswell Fort Worth Airforce base. Joella had many talents, one of her favorites consisted of being able to prepare phenomenal Southern/Cajun cooking for her family. She also enjoyed reading her bible, spending time with her loved ones, giving charitably whenever possible, decorating her home and garden and providing a warm hug and a word of wisdom to anyone who needed it.

She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Jean Wilson; sisters, Mildred, Dana and Pamela; Her son, Jimmy Alton and his fiancé Sammantha, daughter, Cecilia, the granddaughter she raised from birth, Meganeira and her husband Kristopher Nickelson, foster son Durwin Parker and his wife; her grandchildren, Bradley and his wife Katie, D.J, Nikki, Cody, Rianna, Jacob, Evie, Robby, Serenity, Xavier, Stephen, and Michael; Her great grandchildren, Kristopher Mikeal II "Mickey", Riley, Hazel, and Journey.

She was proceeded in death by her lovable chihuahua, Dutchess Sofia (2/25/2009-5/5/2024); and father, Jimmy Joe Wilson (6/3/1932-8/25/1994).

She was very much loved, cherished, and adored. Joella will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
