Joe Wayne Dorety

Joe Wayne Dorety, 69, of Rhome, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 in Decatur, Texas. He was born July 22, 1951 in Grapevine, Texas to Wade and Verner (Eads) Dorety.

Joe married Martha Conn on April 24, 1968 in Coppell, Texas. Joe enjoyed living life to the fullest. He loved telling jokes and stories. His passion was playing the guitar and singing. “Picking & Grinning” is what he called it. He loved spending time with his grandsons. He was never without at least one of them as they were growing up.

Joe is preceded in death by his precious wife, Martha Conn Dorety; parents; and sister, Lorraine Elder.

Joe is survived by his daughter, Jody Lobsinger, and her husband, Mike; son, John Dorety;  brothers, George Leslie Dorety, and Jim Dorety; brother-in-law, John David Conn; 4 grandchildren, Trevor Dorety, John Taylor Dorety, Brett Lobsinger, and Kyle Lobsinger; 1 great-grandchild, Jonah Dorety; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be a joint memorial service for Joe and Martha at The Country Abbey, 116 N. Jackson Avenue, Justin, Tx  on April 24, 2021 at 10:30am.
