James Hall Obituary

James Douglas Hall, passed away on January 14, 2020 at the home of his sister and brother-in-law in Mansfield, Texas. Born April 25, 1961 to the late Paul and Evelyn Hall, he grew up in Whittier, California.

Memorial Services: 10:30am on Saturday, February 1, at Pleasantview Baptist Church, 4400 Pleasantview Drive, Arlington, Texas.

Jimmy was a kind and gentle soul, with a passion for running and bowling. He earned many medals and ribbons for his accomplishments in these fields from Special Olympics. Jimmy also became the unofficial choir director for Pleasantview Baptist Church, where he directed every song, from his place in the front pew. EVERY DAY, Jimmy would give Beth a dandelion when she came home from work - he thought it was a flower!!!  Anyone who knew Jimmy, knew that the way to his heart was with a hamburger, hot dog, Blizzard or a bag of M&M’s. He was a VERY PROUD military uncle - brother, Michael and brother-in-law, Bryon served in the Navy, nephew, Alec in the Army, and niece, Savannah currently serving in the Air Force stationed in South Korea - he enjoyed going to their graduation ceremonies from basic training… AND telling everyone about them!!! Jimmy NEVER met a stranger!!

Jimmy is survived by his siblings, Michael Alan Hall and wife, Lori, from San Marcos, CA, Kristi Lynn Koury and husband, Bryon from Carson City, NV, Elizabeth Anne Casas and husband, Ruben from Mansfield, TX, and Lisa Ann Glover and husband, Larry from Greenville, TX; his nieces and nephews; Ian, Ashley & Nick, Jeremy & Lucy, Jennifer, Rachel, David, Alec & Camille, Savannah, Dillon, Kenny, Joshua & Bonny Jo, Amy, Elena and Olivia. He also leaves an extended church family and friends.
