Jack Ray Morris passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 in his home in Azle.
Jack was born February 8, 1958 in Fort Worth to E.A. and Peggy Williams Morris. He grew up in Fort Worth. He joined the US Army at age 18 and served 4 years as a weapons specialist Sgt. 1st class, the last 2 years at Fort Hood, where he met his wife, Barbara Alton Morris. They married in 1977, raised 3 children together, and remained married for 45 years. Jack was a manager for Taco Bell in Fort Worth for over 20 years, starting as an assistant manager and making his way to District Manager. He later worked as a manager for Whataburger in Azle for over 10 years. He enjoyed fishing and playing poker with the family.
Jack is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Laurie Mishio and husband, Josh of Bedford, son, Justin Morris and wife, Ashton of Weatherford and daughter, Kristen Morris of Azle, six grandchildren, Jaden, Jarrett, and Harper Morris, Tyler and Canyen Dery, and Madison Mishio; brothers, Charles Morris of Houston, Harry Morris of Fort Worth; and sister, Joyce Martin of Azle, and numerous nieces and nephews.
