Irene Patricia Hardy was welcomed into the world by Irma Gene Hardy & Robert Alex (Denny) Hardy in Detroit, MI on November 21, 1956. She was the 4th sibling of 5 children: Sherry, Robert, Renee & Keith Hardy. She spent her adolescence in Detroit and Redwood City, CA.
She graduated high school at the age of 16 & was a college graduate by 18. Later, she attended Aeronautics school & worked for the geological survey in Hawaii for 3 years. This experience led her to becoming a flight attendant for American Airlines formerly known as TWA.
Irene dedicated her life to family, always being a call away & a guiding light to every person she met. She took joy in watching movies such as "The Bodyguard" & the soundtrack "I'll always love you," reading her bible, spreading the word of God & taking her grandchildren to the trampoline park.
Ms. Irene Patricia Hardy gained her wings on 10/21/2025. She will be remembered for the love she poured into others & the unforgettable memories. Your love will continue to light the way.
" I chose not to lose a mother but to gain an angel until we meet again! Love you, Mom."
She is survived by her only son, Steven Maceo Brown & daughter-in-law, Kwanzaa Brown; brother, Keith Hardy; nieces, Alesha Hardy & Raina Hardy; grandchildren, Kameon Brown, Steven Maceo Brown III & Honest Brown.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the sympathy, prayers, all expressions of kindness, concerns & contributions. May God continue to bless you all.
