In Loving Memory of Herminio Peralta Peña
Born on June 29, 1942, in the Dominican Republic to Israel Peralta and Herminia Peña, our beloved father, Herminio Peralta Peña, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025.

He was lovingly raised in Platanal by his Mamá Chepa and, in the early 1960s, met the love of his life, María Antonia “Toña,” in Santo Domingo, RD. Together they began their journey in Puerto Rico, where Herminio moved at the young age of 16. Puerto Rico became his true home, the place where he grew, loved, and raised his four children—Eddie, Henry, Ivi, and Gini. Though not born on the island, Herminio proudly considered himself “boricua.” He and Toña cherished exploring every corner of Puerto Rico, creating countless memories as a family.

In Puerto Rico, Herminio also founded his company, Las Américas Telecommunications, leaving a lasting mark through his hard work and vision. His heart remained tied to his home in Luquillo, which he longed to return to in his final days. Later in life, he joined his children in Texas, where he continued to share his love, wisdom, and stories.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Toña (06/29/2020), his parents, and several siblings.

He is lovingly remembered and mourned by his children: Carlos Eddison Sánchez Montás (spouse, Lourdes Clemente), Henry Omar Peralta Montás, Ivette Peralta Montás (spouse, José Luis Rivera-Díaz), and Ginette Peralta Suárez (spouse, Joel Suárez Rodríguez); and by his grandchildren: Melvin Barnes, Janismarie Sánchez (spouse, Anthony Alvarez), Christian Omar Sánchez, Luis Amaury Rivera-Peralta, Gabriel Rivera-Peralta, Tommy Lee Suárez, Lucas Daniel Suárez, and Samantha Sofía Suárez; and great-grandkids, Yaniel Alvarez, Alissa Alvarez, Jailianis Alvarez, Ailianis Alvarez.

He is also survived by his living siblings, along with many nieces and nephews who will carry forward his legacy of love, humor, and resilience. Additionally, Herminio is remembered by his beloved grand-dogs: Rocky, Speedy, and Blackie, who brought him much joy and companionship.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the ALS Association or Team Gleason to support others living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Though ALS shortened his time with us, it never dimmed his spirit, strength, or love.

En Memoria de Herminio Peralta Peña
Nacido el 29 de junio de 1942 en la República Dominicana, hijo de Israel Peralta y Herminia Peña, nuestro querido padre, Herminio Peralta Peña, falleció en paz el 8 de septiembre de 2025.

Fue criado con amor en Platanal por su Mamá Chepa y, a principios de los años 60, conoció al amor de su vida, María Antonia “Toña,” en Santo Domingo, RD. Juntos se mudaron a Puerto Rico, donde Herminio llegó siendo apenas un joven de 16 años. Puerto Rico se convirtió en su verdadero hogar, el lugar donde creció, amó y crió a sus cuatro hijos: Eddie, Henry, Ivi y Gini. Aunque no nació en la isla, Herminio siempre se consideró “boricua.” Él y Toña disfrutaban recorrer cada rincón de Puerto Rico, creando recuerdos inolvidables en familia.

En Puerto Rico, Herminio también fundó su empresa, Las Américas Telecommunications, dejando un legado de esfuerzo y visión. Su corazón siempre estuvo ligado a su casa en Luquillo, a la que anhelaba regresar en sus últimos días. Más tarde en la vida, se unió a sus hijos en Texas, donde continuó compartiendo su amor, sabiduría y anécdotas.

Le precedieron en la muerte su amada esposa, Toña (29/06/2020), sus padres y varios de sus hermanos.

Deja en la tierra a sus hijos: Carlos Eddison Sánchez Montás (esposa Lourdes Clemente), Henry Omar Peralta Montás, Ivette Peralta Montás (esposo José Luis Rivera-Díaz) y Ginette Peralta Suárez (esposo Joel Suárez Rodríguez); y a sus nietos: Melvin Barnes, Janismarie Sánchez (esposo, Anthony Alvarez, Christian Omar Sánchez, Luis Amaury Rivera-Peralta, Gabriel Rivera-Peralta, Tommy Lee Suárez, Lucas Daniel Suárez y Samantha Sofía Suárez; y taranietos, Yaniel Alvarez, Alissa Alvarez, Jailianis Alvarez y Ailianis Alvarez.

También le sobreviven sus hermanos, así como numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas que mantendrán vivo su legado de amor, humor y fortaleza. Además, Herminio será recordado con cariño por sus queridos perri-nietos: Rocky, Speedy y Blackie, quienes le brindaron gran alegría y compañía.

En lugar de flores, la familia agradece donaciones a la Asociación de ALS o a Team Gleason para apoyar a quienes viven con Esclerosis Lateral Amiotrófica. Aunque la ALS acortó su vida, nunca apagó su espíritu, fortaleza ni amor.
