Heather Rose Callahan died following a fierce battle with cancer on March 17, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas, at Baylor All Saints Medical Center. Her life was a testament to incredible strength and a deep, unwavering love of family.
She was born on April 4, 1978, in Joplin, Missouri. The family later moved to Texas, where she graduated from Humble High School, in Humble, Texas in 1996. She returned to Missouri to attend Missouri State University, graduating in 2000 with a double major in Spanish and Mathematics. After teaching math for several years in Missouri, the family returned to Texas where she began her long career at AT&T.
Heather was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Longobardi; and her father, Arthur Callahan. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Jose Guerrero and Lillianna Guerrero, as well as her mother, Gladys Callahan, her siblings, Vicki Raichart, Robin Edwards, Kimberly Hirst, Shelley Hance, TC Callahan, Patty Mezel, Raymond Walls and Timothy Walls.
Heather will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In keeping with her wishes, she will be laid to rest alongside her father in a graveside service on Saturday April 5th, at 10 a.m. at Osborne Cemetery, 33rd McClelland Blvd., Joplin, Missouri. Following the service, the family invites friends to join them for a Celebration of Life reception at the Southside Community Church of God, which she and her parents attended when living in Joplin. The church is located at 309 E. 37th Street.
