Genaro CiFuentes-Mendez Obituary

Genaro Cifuentes-Mendez went home to be with the Lord on November 6, 2020. A native Californian, Genaro had just made Fort Worth, Texas his home in August 2020.

Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala on September 11, 1938, Genaro immigrated to the United States in the early 1970's seeking a better life for his wife and children. He loved this country and the many opportunities it availed his family. One of his proudest moments was becoming a US Citizen in 1999 and voting for the first  time. A baker by profession since his youth, he worked in various Mexican and Cuban bakeries in the Los Angeles area.  Later, he worked as a parts inspector for Deutsch Aerospace from where he retired in the early 2000's.  Genaro was a loving husband to Silvina, the wife of his youth with whom he shared five children; Lilian Elizabeth, Doris Jeannette, Norma Zedith, Pavel Genaro and Edgar Ahmed. Genaro was the best grandpa to 11 grandchildren and a fun and silly great-grandpa to a multitude of great grandchildren. He loved music and dancing, instilling his passion for classical guitar into his son and granddaughter, and his love for dancing into everyone else.  Genaro loved Jesus and was a man of fervent prayer and strong faith.  What joy to know he now is beholding the face of his Savior.

Genaro is survived by his beautiful wife, Silvina; his five children; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and his church family.

No services are scheduled.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzeheimer's Association on behalf of his wife, Silvina Cifuentes.
