Eric Eugene "Big Fin" Findley Sr

Eric "Big Fin" Findley Sr. died peacefully, with his wife by his side, on September 14, 2021.

Eric was born December 19, 1967 in Gary, Indiana to Eural & Ethel Findley. He grew up in East Chicago "The Harbor," Indiana. He went to East Chicago Washington, and graduated with the class of 1986 where he played basketball. Eric was known as "Big Fin" in the Harbor. He later enrolled in the military, Marines. He worked for Arcelor Mittal for over 14 years. Eric later met his wife, Rhonda, and they married in 2010 and began a life together. Eric accepted Christ on May 19, 2013. They moved to Fort Worth in 2019. Eric was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He was the life of the party. He was a protector. If you needed Big Fin, he was there, no questions asked. He had a big heart. When he came through the door, you knew you would have a good time. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Findley.

Survived by: Wife, Rhonda Findley; father, Eural Findley Sr.; children: Shynique Findley, Ekalah Findley, Eric Findley Jr, Devin Findley, Ryan Silva, Na’Jvia Caruthers, Da’Vionne Caruthers, Da’Quinae Campbell, and Duane Campbell; siblings, Linda Findley, Oscar Jackson, Gloria Findley, Keith Jackson (Elizabeth), Eural Findley Jr. (Christine), and Duane Findley (LaShawn); mother-in-law, Joyce Caruthers; and nine grandchildren.
