Dustin Welch Bean died tragically on July 18, 2023, at 1:20 p.m. in Fort Worth, TX at the age of 37. He was born in Weatherford, TX on October 21, 1985.
In his early years, Dustin was a happy child with a great sense of humor. He participated in Boy Scouts and group sports, but he mostly enjoyed skateboarding and wakeboarding. He was especially passionate about fishing and was quite good at it. At a young age, he learned to play the guitar and played mostly by ear. He was also a baptized believer in the triune God.
But something went dark within him around the age of 12. He sank into a world of brokenness, negative choices, and addictions, and experienced all the horrors that go with them. Multiple attempts to save him from himself were unsuccessful. Dustin lived a homeless, turbulent life before succumbing to an unimaginable death, the cause of which is still under investigation.
However, Dustin’s life revealed the goodness and kindness of others as many tried to help him along the way. It also exposed the world’s evil and abuse.
Throughout the muck and mess of it all, though, Dustin never turned his back on his faith in the triune God. Jesus Christ was his lord and savior, and scriptures learned in his childhood stayed with him. May God have mercy on his soul for his steadfast faith.
Dustin is survived by his mother and stepfather, Kim and Matthew Talbert; father, Gary Bean; stepsister, Kristina Talbert; as well as a grandmother and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
