Debra Renee Robertson

Debra Renee Robertson, 63, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022 in Decatur, Texas, after her year long battle with cancer.

Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 26, 2022 at Fort Worth Funerals and Cremations at 11 am.

Debra was born on March 18, 1959 in Wellington, Kansas to Dennis Morris and Margot Sellman.  She grew up loving reading, riding horses, and always spreading her positive light to everyone around her.  That positive light would help to make her successful with her 30+ year career in Medical Records.  On May 2, 1983, she welcomed her first son, Steven Eric Morris into the world.  Nine years later, she welcomed her 2nd son, Sean Christopher Robertson on September 11, 1992.  For Debra, being a mother was her most important and favorite job.  She did everything above and beyond for her sons.

In 2001, Debra would move to Rhome, Texas to build and live her life in her forever home.  She enjoyed the countryside.  The quiet, the distance, and the opportunity to build something for her and her family was her dream.  Between being a mother and a full time worker in the medical field, she would relax with her beloved animals, by screaming for the 49ers at the TV on football Sundays, or by completely submerging herself into a fantasy novel.  Lord of the Rings and DragonRiders of Pern were some of her favorite stories to get lost in. 

She is one of the most loving souls to ever bless this earth.  She left a path of love and kindness through every heart she touched.  She was an angel here with us, just as she’s an angel in heaven.  No words can express the amount of sadness and grief her passing has left us with, but one thing is for sure, she taught us how to work hard, spread kindness and light to all around us, and to love unconditionally.
