Damacio Tello Menchaca, 78, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away October 1, 2023.
He was born in Rancho Las Orutias Monterrey, Nuevo Leon to Pedro Chantaca and Gonzala Tello.
Damacio worked as a collector in his teens in Laredo, Mexico. When he immigrated to the United States, he worked as a roofer doing tar and shingles. Damacio later retired from Trinity Industries after 47 years as a Press Punch Operator.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Adela Casares Menchaca; father, Pedro Chantaca Vallejo; mother, Gonzala Chantaca Tello; sisters, Anita Montalvo Chantaca, and Bonifacia Méndez Chantaca.
Damacio is survived by daughters, Rachael Suttles and Gloria Menchaca Reyna; grandchildren, Justin Alexander Rodríguez and Raven Alexis Rodriguez; great grandson, Jackson Alexander Bryant; sisters, Francisca Mendosa Menchaca, Enriqueta Saucedo Chantaca, Sanjuana Rocha Chantaca, Francisca Fuentes Chantaca, and Maria de Jesus Cuevas Chantaca; brothers, Guaddalupe Chantaca and Pedro Chantaca; sisters in laws, Mary Lou Casares, Olga Casares Contreras, Janie Dyer, Marina Serna and Martina Vargas; brother in laws, Francisco Casares Jr. and David Casares; lifelong friends, Pedro Contreras and Biviano Sánchez; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
