Claire Denise O'Brien

Keene, TX — Claire Denise O’Brien died peacefully on January 21, 2023 at Town Hall Estates in Keene, Texas. Born April 25, 1936, in Exeter, New Hampshire, Claire was the daughter of Joseph A. O’Brien and Alice L. (Mooney) O’Brien. She spent most of her youth in Alton, New Hampshire, graduating from Alton High School in 1954. After high school, she attended Plymouth State College before embarking on a service career in the U.S. Air Force. Claire served as a Medical Service Technician, first stationed at Ramey Air Force Base, Puerto Rico, and she completed her service at Carswell Air Force Base Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Claire considered Fort Worth her home, and her Texas friends were family to her.
Claire was preceded by her parents; by her sisters, Marilyn and Helen; and by her brother, James. She is survived by her brother, Joseph (wife Virginia), of Lincoln, Massachusetts; sister, Mary, of Pasadena, California; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will take place at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a future date.  Arrangements will be made by Fort Worth Funerals & Cremations.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Claire’s memory may be made to the Humane Society of North Texas (www.hsnt.org).
