Charleen Marie (Chappell) Donelson

Charleen Chappell Donelson left this life at midnight on October 13, 2019 after a long battle with cancer.

She is survived by her son, Joel Donelson; daughter, Karla Getz and daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Ken Thomas; granddaughters, Amanda Donelson, Sarah Getz, and Paige Thomas. She was a great-grandmother to Lincoln, Ezekiel, and Guinevere.

She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Jessica Brooks. 

She was born in July, 1943 and lived her 76 years in service of the church and her family. She loved Jesus with her whole heart and was a prayer warrior for anyone who needed it. She made sure to teach her children the Word and they are blessed to be able to carry on that legacy. They now have their own relationships with God, because of her teaching and example. She had a passion for music and was an accomplished pianist. She wrote praise and worship songs and music for Children's Church. She also had a beautiful singing voice. She passed her love for singing down to her children. They sang perfect 3 and 4 part harmonies together at church, during family gatherings, and to anyone who would listen. Charleen also excelled at Toastmasters. She reached the top award level of "Distinguished Toastmaster" in 2018. She was hilarious. She loved to laugh and that laugh was infectious. She touched countless lives with her love and kindness and will be missed by many.
