Casey Vandergriff Obituary

Casey Victoria Vandergriff passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of April 4th, 2025. She was 38 years old. Though her time here was far too short, her spirit left a lasting mark on everyone lucky enough to know her. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on September 2, 1986, Casey’s journey brought her to Arlington, Texas, where she was raised and rooted. Her early years were filled with joy, family, and the beginning of a vibrant life full of laughter and love. She graduated from Lamar High School in 2004, where she formed lifelong friendships and was known as
one of the school’s most talented cheerleaders and tumblers. Her athleticism and energy lit up every room—and every football field. After high school, Casey graduated from Texas Tech University, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and double-majored in Accounting and Psychology—an impressive mix that reflected both her brilliance with numbers and her deep interest in understanding people. She brought those gifts to her professional life in downtown Fort Worth, where she built a career in accounting. Casey was a true free spirit—bubbly, adventurous, and hilarious. Her laugh was contagious, her heart always open. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, heard, and loved. Whether you were a lifelong friend or someone she’d just met, Casey made you feel like you mattered. She had an incredible ability to bring light and laughter wherever she went. Her sense of humor was both quick and genuine, and she had an instinct for knowing just what others needed—whether it was a well-timed joke, a listening ear, or simply her comforting presence. Casey loved fiercely, lived fully, and made room for everyone in her heart. She was an incredibly loyal friend—the kind of person who showed up when it mattered most and stayed through every season. Her friends always knew they could count on her for a shoulder, a joke, or just her steady, loving presence. She shared a deep, beautiful bond with her late mother, Pam. Her devotion as a daughter and her strength during difficult times were a reflection of the deep faith that anchored her life from an early age.

She is survived by her father, Ben; her sisters, Karen and Misty; her brother, Dusty; her niece, Hali; and far too many friends to count—all of whom carry a piece of her joy with them. Casey will be remembered as a good daughter, a good friend, and someone who loved big and lived life to the fullest.

A celebration of Casey’s life will be held on April 10th at 11 a.m. at Central Bible Church in Arlington. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and share in honoring her radiant life.
