Brenda Joyce Blanton passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on September 21, 2023 surrounded by her family and loved ones, ending a year long battle with cancer.

We will have a graveside service the following morning on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Leonard Cemetery located at 450 W. Hunt St., Leonard, Texas 75452.

Born on November 21, 1948, to Ray Blanton and Gloria Grounds in Bonham, Texas. Brenda was raised by her grandparents Marshall and Mae Grounds in Leonard, Texas. After leaving Leonard
around the age of 17, Brenda's journey in life led her throughout Texas to cities such as Houston, Austin, Waco, and eventually settling down in Fort Worth for the remainder of her life.
She was a dedicated employee, always showing up early and staying late. She held employment throughout her life at places such as Texas Instruments, Leonard Nursing Home,
Texas Department of Corrections, Smith Personnel, and spent the last 15 years of her life providing daily care for her granddaughter. She was the matriarch of the family and the glue that
bound us together, the devout mother of 4 who taught us so much and loved unconditionally, the quintessential doting grandmother always so involved in each grandchild's life. She loved her
friends just as deeply, always there to lend a hand. Her hobbies included shopping for and taking pictures of her favorite flowers and plants, camping, bargain shopping, spending time
working on and watching her true crime cases, playing her games “Farmville” and “Junes Journey” and getting her popcorn with extra butter at the movie theater. Her absence is
immensely felt. She will forever be missed. She will forever be loved. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray Blanton & Gloria Grounds; her grandparents, Marshall & Mae Grounds; her brother, Ronald David Mauldin; and her babies, Larry James and Mikal Hutyra. 

Brenda is survived by her son, Ronnie Koinm and spouse, Denise; daughter, Deborah Bruce and spouse, Joey; daughter, Jennifer Hutyra and spouse, Mark; son, Steven Hutyra and spouse,
Stephanie; stepdaughter, Kelly; and her many grandchildren, Jessika Freeman, Jana Arrington, Justin Koinm, Meagan Gooch, Tyler Bruce, Devin and Alyssa Jones, Addison and Mason
Powell, Olivia, Victoria, and William Hutyra, Desiree McKissack, Tyler, and Kennedy Littlejohn; and her great grandchildren, Dylani Gooch, Remi Sue Carman, and Miles Fuentes.
