Betty Ann Lavender Hurst, daughter of Peggy Lavender and Jack Dempsy Lavender, was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. She spent most of her formative years growing up on the North side of Amarillo and in 1980, she graduated Cosmetology school and started working. Not long after that, she met the man she would love for the rest of her life. On May 25, 1985 she married Leslie Wade Hurst and started the adventure of her life as his Navy career would take them all over the world. In her travels, she made every effort to meet people and share her love with them. She had many exciting times in their 20 years of travel, until his retirement allowed them to settle down. In 2007, they moved to Fort Worth, Texas where they would spend their time together.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 36 yrs; her 2 children, Brandy Lavender Moser, Brandon Lee Hurst; 5 grandchildren, Jordan Ray Brown, Macy Renee Brown, Alyssia Leona Christine Moser, Dylan Thomas Moser, and Ashlynn Marie Moser; along with a host of loving family and friends.
She left an impression on everyone that met her. She loved all of us, and while she did not always express it, she did the best she could to let us know in her own way. She will be missed.
