Amy grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas, moving to Arlington in the early 1990s where she met Christopher Bart while working at a local bookstore. They married in 1994 moving to Fort Worth and later to Springtown. Over the years she was active in animal rescue and always had a house full of dogs and cats. An avid reader, Amy enjoyed reading on many topics and this was reflected in the large number and varied nature of books in the home. She was also an avid knitter and was a perfectionist whether making something that would be a gift for someone or just a cat toy. Amy ultimately found her passion working at the Weatherford Public Library where she was able to use her love of books and her attention to detail on a daily basis as an office administrator, and there she made many long lasting friendships. She and Christopher shared a love of many movies and often enjoyed cooking together in their small kitchen on Sundays before retiring to relax on the the patio afterward to chat, listen to music, and enjoy a quiet afternoon.
Amy is survived by her husband, Chrisopher Bart, her parents Judy Harrigan and Monty Snell, two dogs, and five cats, and many loving friends.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to a local animal shelter and help them find forever homes for the many wonderful animals who need them.
