Amanda Cortez Obituary

Amanda Fay Cortez, 38, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019. She was born on December 18, 1980, in Fort Worth, Texas to Juanita Fay Ford and David Cortez, Sr.

Amanda enjoyed singing, watching anime and creating anime avatars and movies. She was an avid football fan and her favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. Amanda’s favorite pastime was spending time with her family and children.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Fort Worth Funerals and Cremations Chapel, Friday, November 15, 2019 at 6 p.m..

Amanda is survived by her children, Mason Albritton, Bree Higdon, Shyla Cortez and Miguel Cortez; father, David Cortez, Sr. and wife, Carolina; mother, Fay Ford; brothers, DJ Cortez, Jr. and Steven Cortez; sister, Sandra Jackson; stepbrother, David Guzman; stepsister, Karen Guzman; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
