ADELA CASARES MENCHACA

Adela Casares Menchaca passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas

Adela was born on July 4,1940 in Charlotte, Texas.  She was the oldest of 8, with only a 5th grade education. In her youth, they were migrant workers. Later, she worked retail making window displays. Years later, she owned her own flower shop, and she also worked as a telephone operator. Eventually, Adela went back to retail after retirement. Her hobbies included sewing, crafting and dancing. 

Adela is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco B. Casares and Lilly F. Casares; brother, Francisco Casares Jr. and sister, Olga Contreras.

Survivors: Her husband, Damacio T. Menchaca; daughter, Rachael Suttles (Jose Rodriguez); grandchildren, Raven Alexis Rodriguez and Justin Alexander Rodriguez; sisters, Mary Lou Casares, Janie Dyer (Mario Sanchez), Marina Serna, and Martina Vargas (Manuel Vargas); brother, David Casares (Lupe Casares);  and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
