Theodore K Jacobson

Theodore K. Jacobson, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2020 in Arlington, Texas. 

Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Fort Worth Funerals & Cremations, 8808 Camp Bowie W, Fort Worth, TX 76116.

Theodore was born on January 11, 1930 to Kenneth and Martha Jacobson in Chuquikamata, Chili. He married the love of his life, Myriam, in New York, whom he was married to for 56 years and together, they shared a love for travel. Theodore worked for American Airlines as a comptroller and retired after 30 years of service. He had an amazing collection of classical music, loved Chilean wine and fine cuisine, and kept up on world events through his enjoyment of reading Time Magazine.  His love for cameras showed in his incredible ability to capture amazing photographs using inspiration that he attained from watching the National Geographic Channel. In his younger days, he was a daredevil who loved rock climbing. Theodore once went out rock climbing by himself, got stuck and found himself in a bind that he couldn't get out of. Thank God his sister was vigilant at the time and sent her sons out to look for him where they found him close to having frostbitten extremities. He once built a paraglider that worked superbly well, except he just did not calculate how far it would take him and ended up running into a fence, which resulted in him breaking a couple of bones.  His love for his wife, family, and spending time with them was what he loved the most more than anything else and he will truly be missed by all. 

Theodore is preceded in death by his wife, Myriam; parents, Kenneth and Martha Jacobson; and sister, Beatrice Jacobson.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Massiel Jacobson; sister, Gladys Zabalaga; and nephews, Fernando and Rodrigo Zabalaga.
