Richard White, a faithful servant of God, laid down his life for his brothers and sisters, Sunday morning, December 29, 2019, when evil invaded his beloved Church.
Born March 4, 1952 in Big Spring, Texas to Dick and Oneta White; Rich worked at Tankheads, Inc. for over 20 years, where he was currently a Sales Manager.
An avid outdoorsman, Rich loved to golf, hunt, fish, camp and just be outside enjoying God’s majesty. He was an Eagle Scout and a decades-long member of West Freeway Church of Christ.
Family jokingly called him “John Wayne” for his classic country cowboy look of jeans and boots. When friends talk about Rich; they use words like loving, and loyal, kind, Brother, dependable, a servant heart, mentor, selfless, giving, and so many other adjectives that describe his tender and selfless heart. His presence on this earth, will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be from 10:00am – Noon on Thursday, January 2 at Western Hills Church of Christ, 8800 Chapin Road, Fort Worth.
Funeral will be at 1:00pm Thursday, also at the church.
Should friends desire, memorials in Rich’s memory may be made to Christ’s Haven Home for Children, 4200 Keller-Haslet Road, Keller, Texas 76244, or at www.christshaven.org.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife: Glenda; parents: Dick and Oneta White; Children: Jason White and wife Misty, Kristy Moreland and husband Jimmie, Jennifer Ellis and husband Clayton; Randy Knowles and wife Christine, Brad Knowles and wife Kayla; Brothers: Stevan Joe White and wife Cheryl, Jay White and wife Ann; Glenda’s parents: Dwain and Roberta Kasterke; 11 grandchildren; 2 nieces; 2 nephews; 4 great nephews and 1 great niece. Rich also leaves an extended family and entire church family that will forever love and miss him.
Greater love has no man than this...that he lay down his life for his friends.
