Evelyn "Leoda" Hall died peacefully at the age of 85, at her home in Mansfield, Texas, on December 7,2019. She was born on June 25, 1934 in Tacoma, Washington, to Marshall and Evelyn Thoresen.
Leoda was a devoted Christian who loved attending Bible study and listening to Gospel music. She was a loving wife, mother and friend to all. Leoda was very proud of her son, Michael and son-in-law, Bryon and their service in the Navy, her grandson, Alec's service in the Army and her granddaughter, Savannah who is currently stationed in South Korea with the Air Force. Leoda was a very gifted quilter, who enjoyed solving puzzles, and watching her favorite movie, The Pelican Brief. She loved going out with friends and family for a good steak dinner and her favorite ice cream, Rocky Road but she also definitely loved chocolate candy! Leoda had a great fondness for animals and especially loved her dogs. She was loved deeply by all that knew her and will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hall and parents, Marshall Thoresen and Evelyn French.
Leoda is survived in death by her children, Michael Alan Hall and wife, Lori, from San Marcos, CA, Kristi Lynn Koury and husband, Bryon from Carson City, NV, James Douglas Hall from Mansfield, TX, Elizabeth Anne Casas and husband, Ruben from Mansfield, TX, and Lisa Ann Glover and husband, Larry from Greenville, TX. Also, by her grandchildren, Jeremy Koury and wife, Lucy, Ian Hall, Amy Lafavor, Jennifer Koury, Joshua Havoc and wife, Bonnie Jo, Rachel Koury, Ashley DeVries and husband, Nick, David Koury, Dillon Scarpine, Jason Glover, Alec Casas and Savannah Casas and great granddaughters, Elena Koury and Olivia Koury.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 23rd, in remembrance of Leoda, at 10:30 AM at the Pleasantview Baptist Church in Arlington, TX.
