Donald Jobe Jr. Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Donald C. Jobe Jr. announces his passing on December 25, 2019, at the age of 66. Donald will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Debrah, along with his children, Dawn Carter, Eric Villalobos, Don Jobe, David Nicholson, and his two brothers, William Jobe and Teddy Jobe. Donald will be forever remembered by his children’s families, numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Donald is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Edgemond, his father, Donald C. Jobe, his sister, Sue Franklin, and grandson, Noah Carter.

Donald was born on September 2, 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas. As a young man, he enjoyed track and wood work in high school. He later enlisted the United States Marine Corp, where he rose to the rank of corporal. After his enlistment, he later went on to trade school and became a unionized master electrician. Family will remember him as a plain spoken man of simple tastes. Donald lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like camping, fishing, playing guitar, eating BBQ, and spending time with all his family and friends. In his free time, he enjoyed watching Star Trek, Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys games. Donald had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. He had the biggest and kindest heart.

Life is just a stepping-stone. A pause before we make it home. A simple place to rest and be, until we reach eternity. Everyone has a life journey, a path to take with lots to see. God guides our steps along the way, but we were never meant to stay. Our final destination is a place filled with love, His majesty and grace. Today we celebrate the life of a loved one who has gone before us, the race he has won. His journey has now ended, his spirit has ascended, claiming the great rewarded with Jesus, our Lord.
