Danny Garfield King

Danny Garfield King, 58, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019. He was born in Savannah, GA
on September 24, 1961. He was married to the love of his life, Pamela June King, for 33 years and they
resided in Weatherford, TX. Pamela preceded him in death in April of 2018. He was also preceded in
death by his son, Dylan Christopher Rochlin in August of 2018.

Danny served briefly in the US Army during 1980-1981, receiving an Honorable Discharge. Soon
after, he started his 30+ year career as a plumber. In 1997, he achieved his Master Plumber License and
started his own plumbing business called King Plumbing, and for the next 20 years he taught the trade to
two of his sons and many others, making sure they knew how to do things the King Plumbing way!
Danny was an avid outdoorsman who spent much of his spare time fishing and hunting, and he had a
deep passion for good food. He loved to cook and grill for his wife and family, and he experimented
often in search of the best ways to make homemade sausages or jerky. He was particularly skilled at
seafood dinners, always knew the best restaurants around and was famous for getting everyone
desserts. Danny had the biggest heart and was very generous to others. He frequently surprised those
he loved with gifts and helped countless others when in need. Danny was a good man who was loved by
many. You could not go anywhere in town with him without running into someone who knew him, and
more often than not his friends became part of the family.

Danny is survived by his mother, Kathryn King; his father, Walter King, and his wife, Carlene
King; his brother and sister-in-law, Butch and Dawn King; his brother and sister-in-law, Brad and Zoe
King; his son, Kevin King, and his daughters, Kalla and Emma; his daughter, Amy Collier, and her children,
Paige, Riley and Khloe; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Jennifer Cook, and their sons, Boston
and Navy; his daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Randy Burkhaulter, and their children Caleb and
Lexi; his grandsons Michael and Christopher King; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins;
as well as many friends.

Danny’s life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Willow Park Baptist
Church in Aledo, TX.
