Often we are asked what the first step is after your loved one passes away. The following instructions correspond with the different situations you may find yourself in. Rest assured that we do not need any form of paper work or payment prior to the person's passing to assist you
IF YOUR LOVED ONE PASSES AWAY UNATTENDED BY A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL, OR IS FOUND...
Contact your local Police or Sheriff’s department by dialing 911, and request an officer. In these cases, the officer will contact the County Medical Examiner and they may choose to do an investigation if the cause of death is suspicious or traumatic in nature. In either case, you or the officer can contact us at 817-708-2121 and we will coordinate with the Medical Examiner.
Upon receipt of your loved one, you will be contacted by one of our Funeral Directors to further assist you with completing the necessary forms and making arrangements.

HOSPICE, NURSING HOME, OR HOSPITAL CARE...
Let the nurse who pronounced the time of death know that you have chosen Fort Worth Funerals & Cremations as your Funeral Home. You can ask the nurse to call us for removal, or you may call us at 817-708-2121.
