Born in 1979 in Orange, California, Daniel was a military brat for most of his childhood.  At the age of eight, Daniel and his family moved to Tucson, Arizona.  He played football, baseball, and ran track during junior high and high school.  Daniel was also a part of the 4H club.  In 1996, he entered the Army Delayed Entry Program before graduating high school.  Daniel graduated in 1997 from Cholla High School and went on to finish his Army training and long Army career.  During his Army career, Daniel deployed numerous times to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Korea. He was also a part of the Honor Guard.  He loved the Army and his job as an Infantryman.  Always living by the Infantryman’s Creed.  Daniel was awarded the Purple Heart, several Bronze Stars, Expert Infantry Badge (EIB), Combat Infantry Badge (CIB), and many more awards, commendations, and achievements.  He later retired from the Army in 2016.

Daniel met the love of his life, Jessica, while serving in the Army.  They got married in April 2009 and began a life together. Daniel and Jessica loved spending time together. Their favorite thing to do together was ride. They moved to Texas and was stationed at Fort Hood in 2011.  Daniel loved Texas and considered it his permanent home.  Texas made him feel at home.  Before retiring, Daniel found a new love with motorcycles and riding.  He also found another brotherhood similar to the Army.  Daniel found another family within ROCA MC and the motorcycle community. ROCA was a part of his family.  They were his brothers.  He loved them.

Daniel was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend.  He was the life of the party.  He was a jokester and would always make you laugh when you needed one.  Daniel was a very motivated and determined person who would give you the shirt off his back.  He had a big heart and would be there when needed, no questions asked.  Everyone that knew him knew exactly the type of person he was.  A little rough around the edges, but a guy with a big heart that was always loving and caring. He will be truly missed daily by everyone that was a part of his life and world.

Preceded in death by his daughter, Marissa Dunagan; grandfathers, Roqué Molina and Ted Sanchez; grandmother, Angie Molina.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Jessica Escamilla of Cleburne, TX; daughter, Kyra Escamilla of Cleburne, TX; sons, Daniel and Roqué Dunagan of Edmond, OK; mother, Julie Quijada of Tuscon, AZ; father, Arthur Escamilla and stepmother, Rosa Escamilla of Temple, TX; grandmother, Betty Sanchez of Tucson, AZ; brothers, Art Escamilla of Tucson, AZ, Mark Escamilla of Tucson, AZ, and Jesus Perkins Escamilla of California; numerous nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
